The Moonlit Path is a performance series focused on cultural tales of peoples all over the world. It is intended as celebration of the most basic human desires to share our stories with one another and to explain our world through imagination and play.
To date, there has been one production, Down the Moonlit Path, which interwove 9 cultural tales from around the globe into a 90 minute performance exploring themes that are important to all humans everywhere (family relations, love, need for basic food and shelter, kindness, greed, and heroism to name a few).
Currently, we are collecting new tales focused on the darker side of human nature.. We will be selecting 13 stories for this production: currently we are considering tales from Japan, the Solomon Islands, the Czech Republic, Egypt, the Inuit-Yupik peoples, the Sioux Nation, Mongolia, Babylon-Assyria, South Africa, Haiti and El Salvador, among many others.
